Before you rekey Weiser lock, you must prepare a new and old Weiser keys and Weiser smart key tool. Ok if you’ve set it up please follow the steps below.
1. Watch your lock
You can rekey by yourself without removing the lock if your Weiser lock has a small hole beside the keyhole that designed for smart key tool.
2. Enter your old key into the keyhole.
Turn the key and rotate it Πto clockwise direction. Your teeth key will be facing to the left if you really turn it.
3. Do not remove the key. After you rotate it, input smart key into the small hole next to the keyhole. Hit firmly on the strong smart key to activate the rekey system. When finished release the smart key.
4. Remove the key that you rotate. If you doing the correct process at step 3, the key will not return to the starting position.
5. Last step is entering a new key into the keyhole and turn it back (counter-Clockwise direction). This will create the system and install your new key. You can buy Weiser keys at the store or purchase on the Weiser website.
