Replacing the front doors for homes require two people with experience, because the weight of the door rather heavy and must be ensured that the front door are installed correctly.
Before ordering new doors make sure you order a door with a same size, fit with your old door. After review and the door is sent, you should carefully check the door for damage that occurred during the journey. Make sure you do not injure the door with a knife when opening a new door from the packet.
You can start replacing the door by using a knife or screwdriver to remove the bolts from the hinges. After that you can remove your old door from the frame.
Remove door frame with a crowbar and protect your bricks with packer. Do these steps for all of your door frame.
Do the cutting and measuring precisely when the door of your house using the sill. Do not forget to measure the distance between the inside with the outside brick plasterwork
Cut excess obtained after you measure the width of your doorway and applied to the sill.
On the inside of the door, you can release the protection tape after attach the handle. Make sure your door stable. You can use the packers between frame and bricks and put your new door in the open position at the doorway. Use bricks when open the door in the frame. Adjust the frame with the door.
Record all the screws position. If the position is correct then drill the wall and the frame. Do not too tight when you screw the frame into the wall so not damage your frame. If there are excess frame packers, you can carve it. Do this on opposite side frame.
To make it look neat, seal across the outside of the frame with silicone sealant LMA. Remove the protection tape from the entrance of the frame.
You need to make sure all the screws have been installed properly, and test all the mechanisms, such as opening and closing of your new door. Fix the hinges when the door is not in accordance with the frame.
Use acrylic sealant or silicone to seal between the wall with the door frame.
