FAQ About Keyless Door Lock

If you buy something like keyless door lock, maybe you will face some questions. Here some faq about keyless door locks.  I hope this will help you.

• Does the remote locksets and touchpad fit with metal or wood door?
• The door lock will match on a 1-1/4 inch or 1-3/4 inch of the thick doors. During your door thickness is between 1-1/4 and 1-3/4, you should not have any problem when installing locksets. Special Extension of Screw can be utilized on our touchpad lock bolt latch or lock the remote for the door between 2-1/8 1-3/4 and thick.

• Whether the layer keypad (touchpad) will be lost when I frequently used it?
  This button has a special PU layer, the keypad will not be lost. You just need to make sure the keypad is clean occasionally with a clean towel.

• Should I choose the  right hand (RH) or left hand (LH) lever lockset?
  Left Hand (LH): From the outside, if the hinge is on the left and the door opened in, this is the left hand door.Right Hand (RH): From the outside, if the hinges are on the right and open the door, that’s right-hand door.

• How do I measure the space of a backset?
  Measure from the edge of the door to the middle of the diameter hole or center of doorknob. Measurements on backset is 2-3/8 or 2-3/4″ (70 mm).

• Does the keypad electronic lever / knob locksets go into the door if there is a common latch or lock lever mounted on the door?
  From the center of the hole diameter (or the center of the bolt) to the top of the touchpad is 5 1 / 2 inches. Over the edge of the latch the standard is 5 1 / 2 inch from the diameter(center), touchpad lockset will go into the door. The wide of front lock is 2 3 / 4 inch and the wide of back lock is 2 1 / 2 inch.

• What if the battery dies? whether the alarm still work?
  When you hear the beeping sound ten times, that means the battery stage is low. Please change with the new battery to ensure regular operation. I recommended to use Alkaline batteries.

• Is difficult to install locksets?
  Actually if you ever installed an electronic door lock, this job is not difficult.
